Privacy & Data

What GhostClick stores about your audits, what it never touches, and how to have it deleted.

What We Store

  • Account details — your email address, and your store domain if you've connected Shopify
  • Journey configuration — the URL, the goal text you wrote, constraints, and any store password or login details you provided so a monitored journey can get past an access wall
  • Screenshots — one per step of every run, stored so you can review the replay and share a friction report
  • Run logs — the steps the agent took, its reasoning, detected issues, and pass/fail outcomes

Screenshots are of your own storefront as the agent saw it during the run — not of your customers, and not from real visitor sessions.

What We Never Store

GhostClick's AI browses your site in an isolated cloud browser session, the same way a new visitor would. It doesn't log into your Shopify admin data layer, and it doesn't collect anything from your real customers or their orders. We don't install any script, pixel, or cookie on your storefront, and we don't access your customer list, order history, or analytics.

Data Deletion

Uninstalling the Shopify app doesn't delete your GhostClick data — it stops billing and turns off scheduling, but your audits and journeys stay in place in case you reinstall. If you want your account and its data removed entirely, email us and we'll delete it. Screenshots and reports are retained for as long as the audit (or your account) exists, and are deleted along with it.

GDPR and Shopify Compliance

For Shopify merchants, GhostClick honours Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks: a shop-level data erasure request wipes GhostClick's stored access token and marks the connection uninstalled, and customer-level data requests are acknowledged immediately — because GhostClick never stores shopper personal data in the first place, there's nothing to hand over or redact for an individual customer.
